The author suggests that a toy is the final product of a creative process, supporting mental qualities and skills of a child, meeting his or her needs, helping his or her inner and outer equilibrium and supporting his or her creativity. Simultaneously, as someone involved in art therapy, Waldorf education and art design, as well as being parent himself, he offers his ideas and perceptions of a toy’s role. Moreover, in this context, he talks about the past, helping us understand the meaning of a folk toy, its wonderful simplicity, beauty and magic.
