Ľubica Poncik graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, specializing in applied arts, with a focus on textiles. As a student, she already participated in numerous domestic and international exhibitions and competitions. Her work is inspired by traditions, Slovak folk embroidery, and Haban ceramics. She incorporates modern technologies in her clothing and textile designs, giving them a contemporary and timeless expression. Her pieces have been showcased in exhibitions in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, and within the V4 countries. In 2016, she took part in the international fashion show and competition FASHION CULT FERRARI in Rome, where she was awarded a diploma. Through the Open Studio project of the Crafts Council of Slovakia, she initiates and fosters collaborations with designers and craft producers. She designs utility objects not only in textiles but also in non-textile material groups.
